A while back I had a stock manifold ported out like a lot of the guys in the UK do. It had been sitting on the shelf for a while, but finally got around to installing it last week. It had been well ported with a lot of the material in the collectors being removed and smoothed out. Install obviously meant dropping the turbo again, but once that was out, swapping the manifold over was a quick job.
So by Saturday I had it all installed and had driven around to make sure it was leak free and running as it should. Initial impressions were as you would expect, a bit earlier spool up and mid-top end felt as though it's flowing a little more freely.
Sunday was another rolling racing morning at QR so I figured it was a good opportunity to see how it feels WOT down the straights.
Here's a vid from my races on the day and a few pics I got from the install also. I tried to get a pic of the difference before and after porting but the pics don't do it justice as to how much has been removed.
Anyways, Enjoy
