Been a little while. I went out to do some laps in the polo with Hi Octane again this morning at QR. Handful of other VW's out, as well as the usual mix of evos, skylines, subarus, etc

Here's one from inside one of the WRX's in the video above (black with gold rims). The owner has informed me it's actually a forged build making 222kw at the wheels.

That's a classic. Your things got some mumbo. Hey watching that earlier video makes me scared for your neck though. Get your headrest a little higher. I'd hate to see you back it into a wall with it where it is.

Hope everyone's enjoying the break and had a good Christmas!

The polo has been getting a bit of loving the last couple days. Headlights had seen better days so I gave them some new life as well as a clay bar of the car and a couple coats of wax. Pretty pleased with how it came up.

Also installed a whiteline rear sway bar yesterday and had some new Bridgestone Re003's installed just before Xmas so it's just about ready to hit the track again in Jan 2017.

Looking good! What did you use on the headlights? Mine are like frosted glass in places

    Badgeless grill looks awesome too.

Thanks mate! Headlights I sanded back then used a buffer and polish to get them cleared up followed by a handful of coats of wax.

I should do something like that. It's amazing the difference a nice clear set of lights makes to a cars overall appearance.

And you've reminded me again I have a clay bar sitting in the cupboard waiting to be used. Good to see a polo getting some love!

Yeah I was pretty stoked with how the headlights turned out, better then I expected actually.

That was my first time using the clay towel and it didn't take long to get it silky smooth. The size of the towel makes it perfect to chop down on time. I probably only 1.5 hours with the clay then a couple hours waxing on and off a few layers. Paint is now the smoothest I've ever had it, feels amazing.
