A slight change in driving style can help with that. Enter corners straighter, so all braking in a straight line, tighter and later turn in to exit the corner straighter. It's a line I'm having to run more as I flogged my front left in one afternoon at the track, plus to help with power down on exit.

It doesn't have to be a huge difference, a body width later on turn on to carousel and hungry will keep you straighter through the corner and on exit which takes some load off the tyre shoulder.

Very true Sean. Corner entry/exit became much more apparent with the new suspension setup - the tyres and brakes were under much more strain and it really showed me their limits. I'll send you a video link so you can give me some advice before 2016 time attack

Small update. After having my old exhaust setup starting to get on my nerves for daily driving needs, I decided to attempt to quieten it down. I removed the centre resonator which was 14" long and replaced it with one 24" long. That alone didn't make much of a difference so I decided to go a much larger rear muffler as well. So next I replaced the 12" x 5" muffler with a 14" x 8" DEA muffler, and what a huge difference that made. Its now a large chunk quieter then what it was and is much nicer for daily driving. Theres pretty much no drone now, highway driving isn't far off the noise a stock polo would produce and when you give it a bootful it has a much cleaner tone to it.

A few guys have asked for a quick clip of what it sounds like so Ive added the link below.

Added my intake spacer today that I picked up off Gav yesterday. Install was pretty straight forward, just a bit time consuming with removing the fuel rail, injectors etc so I could have full access to the manifold itself.

Initial impressions after installation - idle has definitely smoothed out a little bit more which I was hoping for, and it certainly feels as though it has a little bit more pull in the mid range, low and top end power feel much the same.

Overall pretty happy, quite a good "cheap" mod I think. The true test will be at the next HL session to see the difference in intake temps after a few laps verses previously not having one installed.

Yeah I think certainly one of the thicker spacers going around. I didn't really notice a great deal of change with the low down power, only the mid range really but being that we have different turbo setups, the characteristics of the two will play a part in the way they perform anyways. The stock turbo was always torquier down low then my current one where as now mine has a lot more mid and top end pull then the stock turbo.

Certainly appears that way doesn't it! I had planned on getting one for a while, but jumped on the opportunity when a group buy was done last week.
