    Few pics as promised

Already noticed the ride improvement with the smaller wheels and taller profile tyres. Handling wise the difference so far feels day and night. Theres a few good corners behind my work that you can take at some decent speed. With the old gear the car felt very slow to react, very tippy and as though another few kph would be enough for it to start understeering badly. It now feels composed and holds speed A LOT better. Thats not to say the stock suspension is up to scratch and won't get replaced, because it definitely will, but I'm really surprised at the difference the wheels and tyres alone have made so far.

The track will be a better test next weekend and should have a few hundred more kms on them before then. Counting down the days

The rims themselves are 13.7 LBS so 6.2kg each. Haven't yet weighed with tyres on but I will when I remove the wheels next

The RPF01's tend to look smaller too because of the stepped lip and inner rim profile.
    The 19's I have look like 17 or 18".

Seems like you noticed the much lighter steering and better turn in like I found.

Agreed. At a first look I think most would think that they're 15's. Plus the taller side wall tyres contributes to the smaller rim look.

So after a last minute decision, I went to downshifts happy laps at QR this morning. Went with a group of mates with a variety of cars. It was really good to size up my car against some of the bigger, more powerful, more expensive cars. Also wanted to give the new brakes and tyres a proper go before next weekends happy laps so I know what to expect.

All in all I was pretty stoked with how the polo performed. I must've lined up 20+ cars, varying from SS Commodores, WRX's, XR5 Turbos, new opel astra turbo's, various honda's, few jap RWD's, even a couple other VW's and the polo held its own very well.

Think the brakes will take a few days to return back to optimal performance after they got a lot of heat into them today, but come next weekend the polo will be ready for some more happy laps, this time at lakeside.

Which is the biggest drama with it.

    Not a proper track day.
