    congratulations mr_walker!

$15500 for a tdi sounds like a bloody steal!!!

they are a good little car. sure, they're no wrx in terms of speed, but they do the job and i've found that my pog is ALWAYS there for me when i need it.

    go polo!!!!!!!

For the car specs I entered, it's what the Glass's guide quoted when I paid my $11 for a valuation certificate on the NRMA site.

Can't wait to get my hands on it and clean it up a little - it's a bit of a "diamond in the rough" at the moment. Has a near new set of Pirelli P6000's on it. Anybody running these?

(BTW thanks for your comments in this thread Buller_Scott)

    ooooh chips......

i've convinced myself to be a good boy and not chip it for atleast another year (until its done the 30,000k), but my oh my am i keen to feel what golfman has experienced.

people on this forum have said countless times that chipping a car makes it "feel like you're driving a different car". i'm gonna get in on the action one day

and no worries, mr_walker. i cant speak highly enough of how pleased i am with my tdi pog.

Before the chip... springs & shocks, wheels & tyres. It needs those way more then it needs extra power!

can i just double check, your 9n 06-07 polo TDI's in Aus are 1.9TDI or are they the same 1.4TDI as here in NZ?

In NZ only a 1.4TDI is available.

When I brought my 9n polo in November 2006 there was only the 1.9 TDI available.

Funny you should mention this. I picked up the Polo today, and already have an option to buy a used set of GTI wheels, springs, shocks and front brakes.

What's the general opinion about fitting this gear to a TDI? Reckon it will improve the ride very much?

I'm a bit nervous about modding anything other than the wheels in the remaining warranty period.

    Cheers,

    Walker

Don't know about the TDi, but Celestine did this to his 1.6L (Match I think it is?).

    PM him.
