look what I found! (worn brake line)

messing about today I discovered this - the bracket for the air filter has been merrily eating its way through a brake line! it would've been fun to have that pop doing 170kph at the end of the main straight at Winton! or worse, when one of my kids was driving it in traffic... in an excellent planning move by Mr VW it's the front left line so I'll pull it out and get another one made up tomorrow
there's always f*cking something isn't there!

good catch. When I was fitting up my UGP 2.5in exhaust back section I found something similar. The old back section that came on the car had sagged down nearly against the beam and had done the same thing to the left rear brake line where it goes over the beam. Lucky I had a spare for that on an old beam.
