hey CJHOOKER, can u clean ur msg box so i can shoot u a msg, cause ur msg box is full, i cant send u msg
The problem with our GTI is that is now at the point where either a) people who dig/dug them keep them and modify bits and bobs once in a blue moon (they've already done the obvious stuff) and just ENJOY the car. But they are a small minority and I can't see a long-term business in such a small market.
b) people keep/buy them because they are now cheap and great value. But they will never really spend the $$$$ for you to make a $. That's why they bought them cheap in the first place. They don't have the $$$ for a flasher, new car.
Only a small minority will work out these cars are great value for money secondhand and look for your services. Is it worthwhile?? Only you know..
However go for it! I'll buy stuff! I'm hanging onto my '07 GTI until it dies. And want to make it better...

I agree Peter, not enough business in it to justify the capital outlay. I'm not after a profit, more a break-even, but sadly don't have the time or the spare capital to do aything now. Building a new house atm and it is bleeding cash ......
For the moment then its just buying up odd bits till I have enough to add in 1 go .... At present the GTI is where I want it, reliable, quick and available as a run around when I need it. Keeping it till it dies ..... its too much fun to give up anyway.
