Rods is insurance but they are effectively a couple of grand by the time they are in there.

    It's been a calculated decision.

Good numbers. Every engine is different too. Fair to say with "hundreds" of hrs spent on research the pedal wont be on the floor low down to bend a rod, coz they can, seen it. Keen to see how it goes with all the effort and time spent. Still looking forward to see how the silver bullet fairs up against it , it too is having "hundreds of hrs" of research done lol

Looks healthy and safe(ish) to me, some nice peak power.

Temps look pretty good too, gets hotter up high, but pretty good considering.

With rods I think you could make that curve a lot more brutal, but its probably a lot more street-able as it is (I'm still working on how to get my car to take off without wheelspin with CC).

    Again, jealous.

I am thinking of a switch to cut the N75, so it runs off actuator pressure until I let it go. Crude but would work. Really needs the opposite of a sprint booster LOL

Where do you reckon the bends occur Jimmy? I would expect it to happen with spikey boost, as the turbo spools up.

Yep exactly with spiking boost mate, what I was trying to say was Anthony wont be planting the foot with fear of spike, you getting close to problem area im sure you know, its far from what the likes of carlos has, he can go nuts, as long as the boost levels are kept safe and main thing lambda and EGT then it should be right, I seen many stock motors do great things with the right tuning but you limited to how far you can go till the bottom end needs strength which is obvious. Please don't take it the wrong way, im also going same way with a turbo u owned mate with a stronger bottom end of course. I been around it a LONG time mate so I do know when the stuff happens , not picking the job at all just stating what most are questioning. All good

No worries TBH I reckon the K03s was much spikier than this one. Mine with the Phase 2 after I fitted that first K03s certainly was.

Makes it a good match for the motor.
Mate, with those numbers I still reckon rods would be cheap insurance!
Thanks mate, yeah it's a pleasure to drive!! Very docile in traffic like a Stage I, but even at half throttle if you want a thrill it does exactly that. Funnily it doesn't spin the wheels now after fixing the preload on the actuator, super happy about that. And appreciate the concern about the rods too. I know I can't maximize this great little snail and tune without them.

Can't wait Jimmy, get a wriggle on bud Would love to see it as ball tearing drag rat with 10" wide rubber on the front like those 9sec Civic's in the states! If anyone can do that you can mate.

So true, I bet the torque figure hasn't raised that much from Stage II, it just feels for linear across a broader rev range which is why I'm not too worried at this stage. Plus it's still making 3psi less than Eddy's K04 when it peaks and fair to say Eddy has done more serious track time than all of us put together in the Little Blue Girl and her engine has held up super well.

Yes for me that was the ultimate goal for next years TA series. As Gav mentioned I really want a safe high revving car that still has good power low enough to take advantage of how a FWD car can really power out of corners early.

Mate what setting is your front sway bar on at the moment? I remember getting it to hook up a lot better when I had it changed to the hardest believe it or not.

    Cheers.

Lol , its on mate, I pretty much finished clearing out today I can actually see the wee bugger now. If my mount idea works ill be full steam ahead, mind you only after I get the VR finished. Im moving soon so once all that dust settles itll be on. As you know I had no time to do anything to it really, I got the engine out with all good intention but business took over time.
You know what its like investigating, doing sums, sourcing bits etc. Yours coming on nicely now. Shame not be part of it(now). Seems its in good hands though still.
    Keep up the good work

Ive had it on soft for a long while, found the hard setting too jiggly at low speeds. just changed the bushes which has helped, it was bouncing a little before the bar loaded, so was messing around with traction. Bushes have helped. I do remember how well it cornered with the bar on hard, fun for street speeds.
