    I wonder if you could hit the magic 200kw mark with rods, intake manifold etc.
    You said they can do bigger internals in the turbo

    Yeah pretty sure 200 won't be a problem. there are a few reasons why;

    This hybrid has the largest WG channel and wheels of any KoX hybrid out there plus the BB core can handle between 50-70 PSI as proven on all the pro drag cars that sport the same ceramic BB core design from Billet Turbo. So considering what power levels the current rodsafe 22psi tune (the same peak boost level as the CC Phase II tune) is achieving and remembering it's being starved of fuel at the moment because the last revised tune didn't cater for extra air flow from the IC pipework change, I think this little fella will really sing with a built engine on much higher boost. Plus I'm still on a 2.5" turboback exhaust which should really be 3" by now. But time will tell anyway, they're just my theories derived from some guys pushing similar hybrids on Vortex past 30psi and getting good reliable results.

    At this stage no variations on wheel sizes will be offered until this prototype can be fully tested which Gav will do when his is built in the near future

    Yeah thinking of stealing Redliners EGT probe idea. And a major advantage of using the ko3's hotside is the much larger 29mm WG channel from factory, so EGT's have been reported as being lower than than say for example a Ko4 at 24mm.

    Gav's will be ported even further too

    Yeah, no measurements though. I did spend longer grinding it out, to make sure I got some in my eye

    So while I get the parts together for the engine build I'm trying to sort out some basic aerodynamic components. Apart from a very lift happy rear end that the wing has thankfully sorted out, I now turn my attention to the front end. I feel the Polo has an inherent flaw in it's front end that has taken me a long time to find a solution but I think I finally have. The front end as a whole has a decent enough design to carry a low drag coefficient however when you look under the car it's easy to see why at high speed things have the potential to create substantial amounts of lift.

    Here are a couple of shots to illustrate what I mean

    The plastic bumper under tray is angled up from the back to the front therefore lifting the front end more the faster you go. And not to mention the completely vertical lip that runs the entire length of the under tray also

    Not a big deal at road speeds but a different story on the track. So my initial problem was leveling out that angle as just slapping a flat splitter under the front would just exaggerate the lift due to carrying the same upward angle. It's taken 6 months or so but I finally found something that will help. Meet part A

    It's not on properly yet and needs paint but as you can see it's created an air damn of sorts to push air up into the IC as well as giving me a completely flat underside to bolt up a flat CF splitter (part B) to create proper down force. I actually bought two of these if anyone's interested?
