From all reviews and reports these are some of the grippiest street tyres around and still wear very well. As well as being closer to 225 than 215 in measurement. Winning [/QUOTE]
wooohooo, thanks mate, they down the road from me, and if you say they good, I shall pop in for a visit...need 4 new tyres

So had my first go at the drags last night and found some good and bad points.
Firstly the experience itself was very fast paced from the moment you register to the waiting line up looking around at the vast variety of cars from exotics to mum's soccer vans to the Aussie muscle. Then before you know it your trying hard to remember everything you ran through in your mind that you said you were going to do but somehow the excitement and tonnes of adrenalin overwhelms you as the cars in front light up their rear wheels, and to add to that hearing Shania Twain being blasted over the PA system was enough to distract anyone Really 97.3 FM playing at such a testosterone fueled event was a total let down.
Anyway as luck would have it just after Jason had turned to me as we were getting into our cars for the first run he said to me "you know we have to face off against each other tonight don't you" we were head to head for the very first run
Sorry Jason can't resist lol
'You almost had me? You never had me. You never even had your car.'
But seriously this is where I found out a few things about doing quarter miles. And the time slip says it all
I may have won the race but Jason's skill and experience prevailed so consequently he one the battle! Nice one mate and thanks for the advise.
So to the good points. My reaction times and trap speeds were good all night but it's what transpired in between those points that shows I have a lot to work on.
The bad point was I found it really hard to run my own race and not worry about flogging the guy next to me. I had minimal wheel spin in 1st I thought but as Jason soon pointed out by my crap 60' times I was spinning at the 2nd gear change. I found I was so worried about a fast gear change which was ultimately breaking traction at that point. I did manage to break the 14 second barrier however
We dropped my tyre pressure after the first run from 35 to 30 odd with a little handheld job (the servo reading after said 31 and 32 it turns out) so next time I will experiment with lower pressure to see if I can still perform a fast 2nd gear change and not break traction.
Hat comes off for Jason with the time he pulled last time he went out. I had about 7 or 8 runs and still couldn't equal it
Really decent times for your first run at it Anth.
I was going to say that 35PSI is probably a bit high for a FWD with some mods.
Is there any way to gauge 0-100 times out there or do you need a G-tech to do that?

Thanks mate! Yeah I forgot to take the G-tech unfortunately
Brilliant, breaking 14s

Well done, drags don't particularly interest me, but I can respect the skill required to run 400m in the quickest time, everything needs to come together to gain fractions of a second.
Get the RR gtech Anthony, or use mine so you can interrogate your run at .1s intervals and also g-forces. I want to get out early one morning if I can find a safe piece of road to do some 0-100 runs. Perhaps out the back of yatala/jacobs well.

A couple of shots from recent events from people who actually have some skill with a camera
Nice shots.
I guess mine isn't very photogenic as i didn't see a shot of it haha.
Maybe at downshift.
