Hey Troy, yes that's the plan for sure. Can't wait to see what she does down the quarter. Only problem is now I'm having trouble launching. Can't seem to hit the sweet spot with the extra power The goodyears are a great all round performance tyre but are a pretty hard compound and not very sticky at all especially at 38psi. The best 0-100 time I’ve logged with a heap of wheel spin and cold tyres is 6.2s so will have to practice.

Ben, no mate no retune done yet. Gavin and I did some logging just before the intake, reg and MAF went on so we are keen to do some more this week to compare the airflow and do some math. He said the increased volume of air should be directly proportionate to the power increase or something like that.

Do I think I have 197.5kw atw....... sadly no although the car does feel really bloody quick atm. I have driven tunes polo’s with K04’s and they aren’t nearly as wild as the Devil feels at the moment. Don't forget the pulls are done in 2nd gear so ratios are way off compared to 4th which should give the closest to 1:1 ratio. Just didn’t feel like going to jail before Christmas by revving out 4th on a public road.

Also I’m yet to play with all the other correction settings the G-Tech has to offer such as drivetrain losses, differential and rolling resistance losses, aero dynamic losses such as frontal area and coefficient drag. And then of course vehicle and driver weight. I just ripped it out of the wrapping and went for it so when I have some spare time I will dial everything properly. Still glad to see an increase anyway.

    Brake lines & catch can

So after the epic failure that was the AGU manifold project which wasted a large portion of the long weekend I decided to turn my attention to something else

Finally got the braided lines i've had waiting to make a dedut for the better part of last year put in for the next happy laps track session

Happy to say they did exactly what I was hoping for and gave a much firmer pedal feel Really happy with the whole set up now.

And then went to work on a sort of custom catch can set up.

Only good spot for it was to the right of the battery so decided to bolt it to the battery mount.

So then cut and bent the piece of 32x3mm strip of aluminium I happily found at Bunnings.

Drilled some holes for the little catch can bracket and fastened it with some SS marine screws. Then drilled a hole for the mounting bolt at the bottom.

    Then fitted the catch can.

Then set about getting the hoses sorted. You can see the oil and crap that's being sent back into the TIP.

I used some 19mm heater hose for off the valve cover because of the high temps. And attached that to some 19mm vac hose via a nylon T piece.

Then had to use a couple of 19mm to 16mm nylon reduces to match the size of the catch can barb diameter. And done

Took Nat for a spin down to the Gold Goast and back through Mt Tambourine and it all held up well. And managed some pretty sweet fuel economy too (with air-con on)

Couldn't quite crack into the 5's.

    Nice setup

I am in the process of changing my catch can plumbing too, I also had the problem of different size hoses not meeting up along the way, which is painfull seeing as it is all being done in -AN fittings

Not yet, ordered heaps in -10 and realised it was too hard so ordered -12 too lol, oh and the INA valve cover bung
Then it is hard to find a catch can with AN fittings, so ordered stainless bungs to be added to my 42dd catch can, which is stainless. stainless bungs are 3 times more $$$. So the catch can has to be stripped, bungs soildered on and re painted

What did you try to do with the AGU manifold ??

Lol that sucks! Still when it's all in the braided lines will look mighty sweet next to your polished engine bits

So thought I'd give these bad boys a shot

Quality seems pretty good, and they even include a set of drop links all for under 500 clams landed .
