Woke up early today to see if the 3" ducting actually had a chance of fitting. Next to no room and heaps of tight angles even with the entire battery tray removed

Just getting the ducting down was a absolute bitch, lost plenty of skin but just happy it fit. Seriously not a millimetre of space left.

Next had to saw the battery tray.

    Final result!

And now taking cold air from behind the fog lamp!

Really surprised it all fit to honest, but bloody glad it did!

So how does it drive? Well the car pulls stronger, alot stronger! Right through the rev range and it gets more mental the more it spools. I can't believe I'm in a 1.8l displacement vehicle now. And still with Ko3. I know this is just a butt dyno opion so I will back up with some dyno results and logging for the naysayers. Oh and the sound..........................total porn lol!

So next up the air box to block out any hot air floating around.

Awesome! This has been a long term ambition of mine, but somehow without the cost...?

Nice work dude, good to see new things still being done.

Funny timing, bought myself a 3A pod filter last week, its sitting at my work (well, my ex work, was made redundant on Monday).

Could you do me a favour and give a bit more info on where you got the MAF housing and flex pipe, etc from? Not sure I'll get a chance to go all the way down this path, but slapping a pod filter on for a few days interests me to start with.

Now you can take it to Jos and he can see where the duct has to slot into the box, and plenty room for him to see mounting points etc.

    Thanks dude, it happens...
Links are good, was alredy looking at that flex pipe.

Are there potential issues with mounting the MAF in a larger housing? Does it make sense to keep the MAF in the 2.75" section for air flow readings?

That looks absolutely awesome. As im thinking of doing something similar a bit later on i just thought i would ask a question. When you modify the intake like this, whether it be PD160 intake and panel filter or an awesome Pod filter setup, Do you need to get any modifications made to the ECU mapping at the same time?

Mate, no mapping when I did the PD160 and panel filter

    Still hammers pretty good

Im certain you dont need to at least with a PD160/Panel filter set up

Only need to think about retuning if you are changing the MAF or possibly the MAF housing. As the air coming past the filter is metered, ECU will know what to do with the extra air.
