    I'll find out.

As for sneaky - yes - during her training GF got around with a traffic branch cop in an XR6 turbo with dark windows and number plates TRY06. They didn’t push people for a drag but if someone wanted to drag then they would get a little surprise.

Nope - that's how I got done this week and the operator sits in the back looking at oncoming traffic - your speed is read as you approach the vehicle - not sure exact distance but close.

You must have braked before getting to the van or you are done.

Also, make sure you look well down the road - you can often see either a speed camera or van on the side, or you can see the brake lights of cars ahead - a dead giveway.
Sigh - that's why two of mine were bad luck - first car away from lights in both instances (one going into the sun - couldn't see anything) so no normal indicators as you suggest - AND both in spots I KNOW they have radar - wasn't even trying to speed - bloody GTI just gets away a little too quick at fairly modest revs in 1st and 2nd - before you know it, you're just over 70

Yes it is. I have been charged for drag racing, in a Mini, and i put that exact point to the police.

A definitive answer? No. Just like they couldn't actually tell me how much i was speeding by when i got done. "More than 90" was the answer. Again, no actual numbers were proven.

To be done for speeding they need proof. They'd just say dangerous driving or something cos there can't be evidence other than their word for that.

I was charged with Driving in a Manner Dangerous, speeding, and participating in a race of speed.

I got off the Manner Dangerous charge after nearly three years in court and a $5000 legal bill.

The whole police report was an absolute fabrication. Then they edited the whole thing to include extra cars, more people, all sorts. Again, without any detail of these...

Needless to say, i'm pretty selective about my 'spirited' drives these days.
