So in the governments eyes it's better to drive drunk and reckless endangering lives then just without a license.
Damn stupid isn't it? He is endangering peoples lives and is a repeat offender. Should be in jail.

Dave you must have been very unlucky - the camera I saw Monday was set at 70 - I thought that means it goes off at 71 but thinking about it, it would trigger at 70.

Yeah ... thing was ... it was downhill and I had barely touched the accelerator after turning onto that road and I was concentrating on the traffic ... not looking at my bloody speedo.

Sounds stupid to me but that is the government for you.
Yep - but GF said it is a slippery slope - she has seen quite a few nice young men go to jail for going that road as tempting as it is.

Also hope to God you don't have a prang - your fault or not - no licence and insurance company no pay. Injure someone unlicenced and then the fun REALLY begins!

Also, for insurance, if you change companies, you are then a disqualified driver - doing 2 points for 12 mths is not disqualified.

You'll get your license back from suspension no worries. Just get an affadavit from your employer and you'll have no worried at all.

Sorry to harp on about GF but it may be of interest.

Be nice to a general duties cop if pulled over, don't make b******t excuses (they have heard them all dozens of times) and you are in with a chance of getting a warning (because they are lazy and probably on their way somewhere to get coffee and can't be bothered with writing a ticket).

Get done by traffic cop (red patrol cars) and NOTHING will stop them giving you a ticket.

Yes - next year - how can anyone last 3yrs on 12 points?

It is far more dangerous driving around on your last points paranoid and watching your speedos every move rather than the road than doing 70-80 in a 60 zone.
