Why are you asking Pig? We Polo boys don't spend a lot of time looking at 0-100 times, etc.

Personally, I don't see the point in the Ko4. I'm sticking with the K03s or going Garrett.

The 0-100 times would be horrid TBH unless the traction is fixed. With bushes coilovers and front sway, much more traction is available.

0-100 times for the K03s should be in the hi 6's with the right mods and low 6's with the K04, but it does not add a lot of power.

Are you still having traction issues in first VWThunder? I would have thought the KW's would have largely fixed any traction issues you may have had.

I guess I havent really tried to do a good launch

It looks really stupid if you try to take someone at the lights and the tyres do their little squeal thing

5.5 sec is my goal when i have a remap.
but for a FWD car with road tires thats about the max.
i guess whith semi slicks a low 5sec can be done 0-60.

i think the polo is verry strong in 1st gear also.
most of the time i have a good launch.
this wheek i'll post new movies from today's dragrace @ Zolder.
    but thats something else

i bet a polo with K04 is wicked fast!

I used to own one of these cars.. trust me, dont go the K04 turbo.. more laggy and "so what" gains up top. You will need a very long stretch of road to see the K04 nip ahead of the K03S car.

Ive got an s3 and according to my logs it makes peak boost of almost 2bar at around 3.2-3.3k. Takes a bit to get used to with good boost starting at 2k but its economical in that i short shift all the time.

Interesting to know how much k04 pogos make. At the sydney dyno day pogos were capping out between 130-140kwatw with exhaust, fmic and chip.

You have to knock 1000mb off that log Pedro. It is reading ambient pressure as well. You'll notice the difference tomorrow.

sorry to bring back an old thread... I noticed some users said you only need a K04-001 turbo & 4 FPR to do this upgrade?

What about the tune? Is that required? How will the turbo/car run without a tune?

Especially if the car is already stage 1 flashed?

New tune required. Some options require injectors as well

Interesting, FrankenTurbo are saying in reference to bolting on a F4H-T "fter installation you can drive the car indefinitely on your current tune. You would need to retain your existing fuel injectors and MAF housing/sensor until the time came to upgrade the ECU"

I cannot see how the K04-001 would be any different.

    Who is your source Noone?

I would like to compare the feedback given so i can make an informed decision on what i am going to do with my Polo.
