Just thinking, if I buy a new GTI, & opt for an extended 3 years VW warranty, the roadside assistance side of things will also automatically be extended right?

Depends, most extended warranties aren't offered by VW but by the dealers. So you would have to speak with the dealers to find out if roadside service is included in the extended roadside service.

no no VW roadside service is included in your 3 year warranty. Once you come to the end of that, they send you a letter asking if you'd like to renew your VW roadside service.
