Yep, they're not designed to cope with a KO4

Just upgrade the downpipe. Cooler is fine but on hot summer days you'll want a bigger one.

Otherwise, there's no problem.

i think what i would be looking at (if i was gonna get a borgwarner turbo) is a KO3-052 ... bigger compressor... more effecient... might get a price today.

Don't bother mate - I'm pretty sure the Polo already has best Ko3, If you were going to upgrade the turbo you'd want to go straight to KO4 or even just gt28xx.
