I have a K&N in mine($90 though REPCO Darwin), but I have had a BMC one in the past. Although the BMC wasn't in my Polo, I can say that both are great filters, and are made from the same materials, and are both oiled.
I have called couple of K&N air filter dealers, the price form $94 to $210, and mainly they do not have stock. Don't konw why the price difference is so big for a same product. Also the BMC air filter for POLO GTI at AUTOBARN is $149, and the boss said BMC air filter is better than K&N one, coz it has 20% more air flow than K&N. Since they are similar price, what do you guys think? which one is better for POLO GTI?

VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life
There are few things more satisfying in life than finding a solution to a problem and implementing it

Hey there, the Repco give me the different prices as well, the Chadstone Repco shop tell me $97 bucks, but the supplier has out of stock already, and they all not sure when the shippment will arrive. the Springvale Repco quote me 159 bucks and tell me they can get it from NSW. and some other shops ask 220 from me.. it just so bloody expensive, and sounds like they all have stock problem.. Why Repco give me different prices?
Port said $110 at first but when I said Dandy would get it for 97 they said they could do it at that, they have 2 suppliers one is Rocket the other I don't know.
They always have to order it in they never stock it but if it's not in the system they should have call the supplier they supplier would at the very least given them a month for when the next shipment will be in.
you could always just get it online from the uk won't be cheap but you will get it sooner or later
Im getting a BMC today...
Ill let you know before and after... Dont expect much...
My car has APR tune V2, APR downpipe, APR Diverter, SEAT intake...
I reckon you will see more in the Seat intake..
Thanks man, Looking forward to hear your review on it, do you mind tell me that how much did you pay it for? I have gotten a quote which is 149 bucks. by the way, you have installed the SEAT intake right? have you cut the extra parts of plastic which block the air flow? is it works?
