    Yep, MX5 are very hard to keep up with in corners, and are sublime to drive (chucking out the rear-end is awesome fun ).

    When I first test drove a new Polo GTI, it immediately reminded me of the MX5 - precise, short gate, click into place feel.

    Pity, I just sold some parts you could have sourced for your new Pog - would have given you a different perspective on what a well sorted Pog can do to a Clio Sport 182 Cup

    Hmmmm interesting.... what parts could these be???

    Just got home driving through the wet - the car just seems to want to hang on to corners, was going up Pacific Highway through a few bends in the middle lane (road was empty) at a speed where the MX5 would start to feel a bit twitchy if you're not careful on the throttle, half expecting the Pog to run wide or the ESP to kick in, it just took it and went about its business, no lights blinking back or any indication of it going anywhere than it was pointed. Not bad these Conti's, now I wonder what a RSB will do.

    The sense of quality is impressive but I still regard the bottom rung Audi's as tarted up Skodas or Seats with better bits Which is why VWs are the most "honest" cars out of the lot I think. Can see myself going back to RWD some day though - a new Torana might fit the bill if Holden builds it

    Hmm mine doesn't cut throttle - just that ideally you'll need to at least blip it up 1000-1500rpm to get a smooth change but most times I couldn't "heel" the throttle deeply enough to get that unless if twist my foot at an awkward angle where it's nearly horizonal to the floor

    The car is very good in the wet. I'm always amazed at how little trouble I have around corners in the wet and how much faster I push through each corner. Roodosutaa do a skid pan event when you can

    Probably make it more dangerous.

    You'll notice Eddy (the one with the most mods out of us all) has no RSB, but he does have a large front one.

    Guy didn't have one in the APR Polo as well from memory, might want to ask the reasoning behind this before jumping in and doing it.

    The reason Guy didnt have one is because he was concerned about snap/liftoff oversteer. Which is fair enough as Alex had it in his mk4 gti pretty bad apparently, having said that i have NEVER experienced this even on a track where i was going through high speed corners (guy told me these where the worst) and trying to induce it. Each to there own i guess. RSB was one of the cheapest and most affective suspension mods i have done. But this is just my opinion.

    Rear sway bar is one of the best and cheapest mods you can do.Timbo and I both have done extensive laps at Wakefield and other tracks on various settings[ours are adjustable]with absolutely no problems.
    Understeer is greatly reduced,with no side effects.You can trail brake into corners,and the back still sticks.
    Others are running them with good results.

    While it is a cost effective mod, the WL RSB remains a controversial mod, and in inexperienced hands, can induce snap/liftoff oversteer. VW deliberately induce lots of understeer bc 1. it's safer and 2. will trigger an early response when the car is about to lose it's line and/or traction. With the WL RSB, you narrow the early response to a nano second.

    I've chatted with Guy about lots of mods, but I've never heard him express more disdain for a mod than he has for the WL RSB, ..thinks they're junk and dangerous. I had a look under my car recently and noticed RSB was beginning to corrode
