Maybe its just pure advertising for the dudes business? I dont really see a problem with it. It certainly got their name on this forum.

Does the milk man drive a bottle of milk? Do the guys from carpet call drive a roll of carpet? no! Advertising is advertising. Maybe thats all it was meant to be.

to the dude who spent a little while in japan recently- i know. They dont make their cars look stupid like that.

On another note, thats why i will always have a soft spot for that metallic purple pink color. I lived near the trust garage in sapporo, and that was their team color for every car. Their starlet turbo would murder corners faster than anything i have seen going around bends in real life here.

But in terms of advertising- last thing i would do when promoting my japanese car business, is drive such an obviously euro car.

I doubt it was his company car. This thread runs the risk of many believing unequivocally that it must have been some sort of promo thing for some magical business, but the devils advocate is not always on point. It was a private car, thats that. Unless we are all to believe that every mirage coupe (two door 'lancer') with a ralliart sticker is really a vendor for evo performance parts....

Actually, come to think of it, the devils advocate says they might just be.....

Well said mate. True Jap performance garages usually do a bloody good job with their cars and graphics and its the people who don't have much taste or ability in graphic application or knowledge of what they're doing that screws it up. For example I saw a guy drive a toyota camry with its toyota badge replaced with a BMW badge and another poor soul driving a toyota supra with the Mitsubishi ralliart sticker on the top of their front windscreen. Another hilarious example I've seen many years ago was a VW beetle with a porsche like bodykit with the porsche badge replacing the VW badge (sorry if I hit a nerve on anyone here on this or other forums but its damn funny).

lol gotta love it too when people cross-breed ralliart stickers etc onto their camrys.
