    Ipod adaptor for our Polos

Hi guys, are there any other options apart from VW ipod adaptors?

    Something like...

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/iPod-Adapter-...QQcmdZViewItem

    http://indashpc.org/new/ipod_adapter...-ipod-vag.html

They are selling adaptor for $350nz, and I think they are way over priced... don't like FM modulators.. I had PIE unit on my previous Suzuki Swift which worked well.

If anyone else has better options in their cars, please share with us!

    Thanks.

I hooked my ipod up to a connects2 kit (to the stock head unit via cd changer port). You can control your ipod via the standard head unit as well as operating the ipod itself. Very versatile set up and sounds perfect.

    Hello,

I bought the iPOD adaptor from VW.

I'm sorry, I still have had the Standard VW Polo GTi headunit and it wasnt what I wanted.

    I want at least
    a) MP3 file name.
    b) Playlist name.
    c) Time/Track.

The Standard VW Unit doesnt provide this. Instead I bought a relatively expensive JVC with DSP with IPOD interface. Best thing you can do.

Dont go the factory upgrade(unless you have Sat Nav - I would expect this to be 10000000000000000x better).

BMW is the only car manufacture that I know of that displays mp3 ID tags on the stock headunit. The only other option for this is to get a Drive + Play. Great piece of kit if you don't mind the extra equipment on display.

Oh yeah, I have a connects2 and it's fine for what I want.

Hey Natee. The Gamma is for USB flash memory or SD cards, Beta is for iPod or anything with a 3.5mm Audio jack.
