The Seat intake (PD160). I bought it from a spanish website another member recommended, however it took a good 6 weeks to get to Melbourne. The difference in intake size is night and day, it was hard to believe the car even managed to suck in any air with the old hose and trumpet.

I have been wondering if it's possible to fabricate something ourselves, modelled of the PD160. Perhaps with fibre glass, but would need to get my hands on an intake to replicate it. I'm currently over committed with work and uni, so very time poor to do it myself within a reasonable time frame. But I think if I can have a good look at one, get the measurements, etc, should be able to work something out, or at the least see if i'm even capable of it.

Stainless will transfer heat, if you get a pod filter, can go a different route.

PD160 is not cheap for a bit of plastic, but likely cheaper than fabricating something.

my PD160 intake might be for sale in a month (assuming i like my new job, drop the price of the car and sell it on), so keep your eyes peeled as i will post it in the for sale section once ive sold the car on.
