On my daily, it's just a usual stage 1 equivalent tune, FMIC and usual supporting mods, no dump pipe.

I have the seat sport FMIC on both of my polo's and still get heat soak when on the track, but takes at least few laps on warm days. You can't replicate that driving style on the street. I have/am considering changing the FMIC on the track car, but won't be anytime soon.

Ok awesome! thanks for your help man im sure you got some good knowledge having both the daily and the track. My car is just my everyday so not looking for anything too crazy and probably wont take it on the track. Just want to see if its worth all the money for a daily cause I have had mixed answers from friends.

Just seeing what a couple of you more experienced guys views on it.

I also have the apr tune before the intercooler i was getting bad boost spike then the power would drop off and would surge in 3rd since i done the intercooler the power comes on very smooth and where it use to drop in power it gains alot of power and seems to hold boost longer in to the rev range but the biggest thing you will notice is heatsoak with the stock intercooler you stop in traffic for 5 minute then go to take off its like you just took off the turbo its slower then it was stock with out the tune haha since i put the fmic on i can sit in traffic for 15 minutes and take off and all the power is there like on a cold night well worth the money and your car will love it i dont think you could go wrong with any fmic anything will be better then the stock intercooler stock one i seen temps of 90c with the airtec on i see max 45c

Sweet thanks for that info! really helped a lot and now I can justify spending the money with knowing what I will get in return, it actually makes you more eager to spend the money when you know how much better your vehicle will perform even if its a daily. Thanks again man really appreciate it. Now time to save some coin and see which FMIC to buy!

    Cheers,

isn't peer pressure grand. At this rate you'll be rocking a new turbo by Christmas.
Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII
    Daily: 2010 VW Jetta Highline
Gone but not forgotten: 08 Polo GTI
