I'm guessing none of them. But I'm not exactly sure.
Oh how easy it would be if this was the case.
hey guys,
ill just cut the story short, ive got some (well a fair bit) of aftermarket parts from my gen 4 golf gti, consisting of springs, coilovers, custom exhaust, cold air intake and some handling parts remaining from my strip of my old car.
the golf's no longer with me so ive got all these parts lying around. can anyone tell me if any of these parts are usable on my new 08 polo gti?
it would be great if i could reuse some of the parts to save myself some dosh on the new car.
if anyone can help a lad out, your input will be appreciated.
cheers!

yeh it would be totally sweet if it was all interchangable. i wouldnt have to spend all those hard working dollars towards tweaking this new car
not even springs? ive measured up the spring against my standard suspension, and from what i can sorta judge with my eye (yes, not very accurate ) it seems like it can sit in the standard polo struts.
feel free to buy the parts off me and test them out
Why not do the spring swap and see if they work. Springs are pretty easy to swap over, they just take a bit of time to do. If you can borrow a spring compressor then the job will be much easier.
Before you start run a ruler through the springs to make sure the width is the same as the Polo springs. Don't forget, your Golf is much heavier than the Polo so expect a harsher ride than the Golf.
I used to have Bilsteins on the front of my Mk1 Golf and they were great in Canberra with it's smooth roads. When we moved to Sydney I had the springs out the next weekend. Too harsh on Sydney's rough roads.
Cheers
Paul
