    intake help suggestions?

    Hi guys,

Im trying to DIY my own seat intake. Ive got some larger tubing but
unsure of how I'm going to mount it to the grill area at the front
    of the car. Any suggestions?

    I've arleady got a K&N panel filter....

    Thanks!

    Brendon

    heres an idea...

leave the stock intake to front of car and add your tubing under the stock airbox to get additional air from underneath the car..

looks nice n stock from underhood but you add an extra air feed from underneath.

hmm have you tried that? What about rocks or anything that might pull into the airbox?

I think you're unlikely to get rocks up there ... it isn't a vacuum ! Also, anything that does get drawn up there (or forced) will be stopped by the filter.

you could plum the inlet to the box straight to the fog light area (i.e. remove the fog light and cover with a mesh).

i've removed my fog lights and replaced with mesh to improve the airflow over the SMIC (and done the pikey mod as well). you could plumb the airbox to the other side.

Trim the standard intake bell to increase it's diameter to the size of the hose you have then plastic weld the 2 together.
    Cheers,

I still say add the second duct from underneath. Its easy to return to stock if you dont like, just remove and block up the bottom of the airbox.

No way rocks will fly up all that tubing.. Some people have pods exposed underneath the car.

It would give the same if not a better airflow than the seat intake.
