Using your argument, if you wanted a car with a 1.8T badge on it, you should have bought an Audi A4/A3.

Maybe they wanted a zebra car (white and black) as VW does not do this paint scheme from the factory.

    1. Post up the inspection report
    2. Describe these "issues"

If you follow Troys thread about the car he has clearly stated that the performance of the car dropped off after he took delivery of it. Then he has gone through the process of diagnosing the problems. So once again.. The fact that you are having issues with other forum members should be a separate issue. I dont really have any interest in it to be honest. Just be careful what you say about Troy because youre talking trash.

I have nothing against troy or others on here.

But when troy says something ambiguous, it fuels others to have a go at me.

For instance, earlier complained that the boost was irregular. Later diagnosed to be a faulty APR dump pipe, where the welds had failed during his drive from sydney to Melbourne. This is an APR warranty issue and no way a fault of my own. I paid some $1300 for the dump pipe and cat to be right..

Again, before diagnosing the dump pipe to be the boosting problem, it was blamed on the industrial air tap fitted to the car. When open the industrial air tap capable of holding 150psi acts like a regular hose in its place. Cannot cause any issue to the car. I was condemned for this. We know it was the APR dump pipe being faulty, nothing to do with the air tap.. But the experts on here tried to blame that and made troy remove it.

Now the springs. Troy is agin shooting from the hip. I sold the car with stock suspension, the inspection report will confirm this. Why would I hack up the springs when you know ive spent the right $$$$ for the best mods on that car?????????????

Dude. I dont want to argue with you. But seriously Troy is just calling it as it is.
Here is a pic of your car from a thread that you started when you were selling your car whilst it was still in your posession

here is a pic of a polo gti at standard ride height

Continue to argue all you want. Youre either lying or stupid.

Looks lower than H&R springs, infact its not far off what my Coilovers achieve in terms of looks.

I'd be interested to see how it goes with that setup, not going to go back now, but how bad can it be?

Hey guys, we all like to take the pi55 out of Petrina and enjoy his threads, but if the car was checked out thoroughly when it was sold (by the new owner and a mechanic), any further banter about him selling a dud car or doing poor performance mods is totally irrelevent and misdirected. If he says he assumed the suspension was stock, than we must take him at his word. The numerous threads about how bad it handled would support his lack of awareness of the cut springs and support that it was done prior to his ownership.

In this case, I think we need to cut the bloke a break.

Like Petrina I'm an ex Polo GTI owner as well and like Petrina I miss the little bugger ......

Would I buy another .... no, it has too many limitations that are too expensive to overcome ....

Do I agree with all of Petrina's comments and ideas over time .... no

    BUT ...

Lay off him .... stupidity (and some his comments and ideas over time certainly was stupid) is not a crime and there is no evidence here that he did the wrong thing in any of his dealings.

Some of the comments posted here is indicative of why the Polo section has a bad name amongst the other sections of this forum. Some members here really need to grow up a bit ......

Maybe it was driven on the track in Spain and ruined the springs?
