    I know it's not original ... but I like it ...

I'm thinking of getting my bonnet painted ... like so:

Question is ... anyone know a good painter in Brisvegas?

    Cheers,

Yep i also love it. Unfortunealty my other half wont let me do it. On the other hand i am considering turning the red stripe white on the front grill. What you guys think about that.

Champs Body Works @ Slacks Creek - Mates dad owns it and do very good work Also one of dad's mates is a retired pannel beater/painter - works for cash in hand in his shed now (got to keep all his gear when he sold up shop)... shoot me a pm and i'll give you his deatils...

Personally - i think you should leave it white and save the $$$ for some coilovers cause i doubt you will get much change out of $500...

You're probably right, Mark. The thought of coilovers definitely has a stronger effect upon me than changing the paint scheme.

Might just leave the paint job until after I win Lotto. (Yeah ... right.)

hehehe now i feel like a wet blanket lol - i have been down the make it pretty route then make it go route and it is definatly the long way around.... Plus these things look great when slammed ...

It would cost a bit cause you would have the rub bonnet back, paint it, pinstipe it, clear coat and bake... unless you just got a vynal transfer done...??

This would be a cheap alternative. If the guy is good enough you may not even notice the difference uless you are rubbing the vinyl across the bonnet.

Mine cost $500 black clear and vinyl red pin stripe. i am happy i have done it. But my car had to go in and get the bonnet redone due to paint yellowing on the underside so was no big deal.

Yeah ... that was one of the reasons I was considering doing it (painting the bonnet). Guy said he bought a red one because the Candy White ones paint yellows with heat at the bonnet. After I've arrived home from a run, I tend to raise the bonnet for cooling ... has significantly reduced yellowing. One polish was all it took to bring back the white ... but I don't leave the bonnet down (in the garage) when the engine is hot.

    Smile Bonnet painted

Hi, new here - found this site today, it's great!
I think go ahead and do it if you haven't already. I got mine painted approx 3 months ago. What does everyone think? Certainly turns a lot of heads.
