I am now officially going fat rims (for a Polo). I have bought dished 17x7.5 ET+25 on the front and 17x8 ET+32 on the rear (see the 'what did you do to your polo today' thread for wheel pics). With my standard offset being +43 the offset calculator says I will have 24mm more width on either side. that's fat enough for me. I'm stretching my current 205's over them as well so that'll just top it off.
God dammit the car is gonna look good from behind. I can then proudly wear my down'n'out sticker.
Will stretching the tyres significantly decrease the life of my tyres/cause sidewall issues?
