make sure the bitrate on your mp3s is not too high. If you read the manual that come with the radio it gives u details on what u can and cant do

    Also...

    1) Always burn CDs on ISO 1 mode
    2) Try to disable juliet
    3) If you make folders, try to make them under 8 letters
    4) Disable more than 255 letters for file name.

Make the CD as basic as possible, the headunit will be able to display your song names as long as they have ID tags done prior to this. There is way to get ID tag done using utilities.. i think like Dr. Tags or something. Or just using winamp or itune.

    This should work!

I was just dumping files onto a CD via the normal OS X burning tool...might need to try burning them another way....

    Cheers!

    You can have Romeo instead!!!!

On serious note, I think they are just like some protocols / rules / restrictions how things are written on the CDs.

Rather than just dumping files, may want to get proper CD writing programme for Mac (unless you can change those settings), then write them. Or find a friend with PC...

Or.... just run Windows XP on bootcamp or otherways, then use Nero burning ROM.

It's 'Joliet', not 'Juliet' and it's an extension of the ISO9660 CD-ROM file system which allows for non-Roman characters.

I don't believe it affects the Polo's headunit though (all Joliet media should be readable by non-Joliet devices, since it's backwards compatible with ISO9660) - I've never disabled it.

Ooops... but you know what I mean..

Sometimes, if the CDs don't work, it's best to go to the most basic level of burning, so we can test it works well. Also check the media. Some real el-cheapo CD-Rs may not work.
