I dont think anyone else has answered what their APR tuned GTI spikes to and what it holds boost at? I think that would be an important thing for Troy to know if he is going to sort out his issues.

This is the best article for support of the Festo valve / flow controller

The principal is for stock tune, doing it with an aftermarket is tricky as you are pushing the turbo harder than the tuners thought was a good idea...

Plautos did this mod to fix an issue. The N75J is to fix an issue. I don't think generally these little mods should be done unless there is a reason (fix an issue or provide better performance).

If the N75J and valve were not helping, get rid of them...

Sorry I cant help with boost numbers.

Ill answer, with dump pipe, full exhaust, FMIC and stock N75 with no valve its 22psi spike, drops to 18psi to about 5000rpm and tails off to about 14psi by redline...

All the valve is doing is holding the boost for a tiny bit longer..

The APR program will adjust air/fuel to compensate..

So if the car hit 22psi with the N75 running APR tune, no air tap thing that is fine.
If APR put it in their tune, Im guessing its good. The tap thing compensated for the N75J which looses boost
I dont see anything wrong with that.

Just put the standard N75 back on, about to go for a drive. Hope i put it on the right way lol

Maybe I will get my lost boost back

Put the standard N75 back on
    Only peaking at 17Psi
Would it help if I disconnected the battery, would it reset the computer?

I need some more people with chipped cars with boost gauges to help me out here, im sure most software is peaking at quite a high Psi
What are your experences with boost, does it hold peak for long, does it drop off, does it seem different all the time ?

You can put it back to the stock tune, then 5 min later put it on APR Tune. After some driving (1/2 hour, 50 kms) it should be working at its prime.

Personally, as its now your car, I'd leave the stock N75 and dont use the flow controller. Having the Forge diverter valve set up wrong can also affect your performance.

Just take it slow! there are so many variables... It could be that you got used to dangerous boost, it could be that you've got a leak... Is the car running stock diverter valve or the Forge adjustable unit?

Dont forget to read Plauto's thread, remember he did blow his turbo and he's a machining master...
