Thing is, I've already bought my 215/45/17 tyres. Also, there are no decent road/track tyres in that size. If you do know, then let me know ASAP, hehe.

Depends on the wheel offset and width. 215's can fit.

personally i say run with it I don't think you will have an issue,
35mm is not a big drop at all and from what I recall you can still comfortably fit your hand between tyre and arches still plenty of room for sagging springs

Difference is, I'm running a 45 profile, not a 40 profile as most guys are.

yeah I know but 35mm drop aint that huge, if I can on 70mm drop and still not have issue, 35mm more lower should make up for the 5mm you gain with your side wall if issue would arise.

you installing the springs yourself? if so just run them if the hit order the 20mm ones then swap them out, if they do rub at 35 it will be at extreme angles fulllock and massive bumps so want need to urgently swap out.

but yeah cant say 100% cos well I haven't tested it myself so it's a risk.

if you don't want to take the risk your only option will be the 20mm

From what I've seen here on the forums, most guys running 40 profiles have about a 2 finger space between the guard and tyre after the suspension has settled. On a 45 profile, well, there would be only about 1 finger space, and I'd assume the pinky.

Anyone know the specifications of the stock springs?

8" Wide, 215's, 35 / 38 offset, H&R's with Bilstein's?

It may work, it would not suprise me that you rub when cornering over unever ground.

That's right.

I reckon for street it would work, for the track, well, absolutely not. Definitely going to need some clearance around those corners, and based on the searches here, it defintiely will rub around hard cornerning.

I think 20mm would sit higher, and then a 5mm drop once it settles which would be perfect. Afterall, thats the smallest we can go.

Looks like I'll go for the Eibach Springs 20mm front and rear drop.

I would rather compromise on the tyre width or the rim size than loose any more drop. I assume you have already bought the rims / tyres?

I've already got my rims and tyres. Running KU36 215/45/17. I think I'll be fine with Eibachs. Will take pics and show you once everything is completed.

I guess I can always keep two sets of rims and interchange them. I know on a 215/40/17 setup the H&R's will sit nicely, but on a 45 profile, the Eibach's would suit.
