H&R lowering springs, are they any good?

Hi, I know someone with a red Polo GTi has H&R springs...

    Any feedback on it?

I am after something that is as comfortable as stock springs, but with lowered looks / obviously with better handling. Which doesn't rub with 4 people in .. or cause excess wear on the shocks.

    H&R any good?

I think my ride is already stiff enough, so something that similar to stock would be good!

    Cheers

oh and also how much does it lower the car by?

Sorry have not visited for a while.

Yes they are great and good bang for buck. But you do really feel the bumps on the road afterwards, especially pott holes.
You said in your PM that the stock suspention was hard enough, them im afraid this is not for you. The ride quality is definetly compromised, I have gotten used to it. I just need to get to a track some day to justify it haha. The was lowered quite a bit, I think it was around 40mm at the front and 35 at the back or something. Anything I missed?

    Thanks for the reply!

Is it just the springs or do you have a coil over system?

I can get H&R lowering springs for GTI (don't think it's cup) 35mm around, for second hand for $250... 1500km old. The previous owner had to remove it as the next buyer wanted stock suspension..

So are these the same springs we are talking about?

    Thanks again Glide!

I may be redundant, but friend of mine has h&R cup kit in mk3. it's pretty decent, handles well and doesn't bounce like h&r coilovers.

Yeah george i just got it fitted on thursday. OMG I am love it, the car just glues to the ground. The bounciness is slowly inhibiting, I am still adjusting, nevertheless best money spent eva, it is a next level of driving pleasure. I should start my own thread, wait until I get some nice pics.
