The key to negotiations is time.
Firstly you have shown enough interest so they are convinced you are going to buy then they will talk price more seriously. Otherwise they will think you are just wasting their time.
Then see what their best offer is if its still $32k then try get them to drop it to what you think is a fair price. They will usually give you a couple of hundred off and thats about it. If your not happy walk away, take your time, they will call you back in a few days or a week. If they dont call you back then go else where.
Or you can play them on each other they all want to make a sale. If Parra give a price of $31,500 then go back to Liverpool and ask if they can do better and go backward and forward till you get a good price.
Just take your time and dont get upset if they kick you out. If they do kick you out it just means negotiations are over for the time being.
When I bought mine they initially didnt give me a price I wanted. After a test drive we negotiated and they said either take it at this price or you dont get it. I walked out and a few days later they agreed, over the phone, to drop the price by another $1,500~.
