    GTi - Boost Guage Holder - Prototype Pics

    Whilst I'm waiting for the final product, since I had the early prototype with me, here is a few pics to see the location and general look. I will post the pics of the final product as soon as I have it.






    The final one will be in real carbon fibre.

    Why not mold one like the pods in the vy / vz hsv's..

    Wanted to originally, but not enough space to get the form to flow gracefully. This 1st prototype also sits up a bit more than the 2nd. Now that the process in getting it done is sorted out, I will likely see if a twin can be done as well. .... But space is less in that spot than what the Commondores have to work with .....

    have you factored in the type of gauges you'll be using and whether they'll fit in the mould? I noticed there's a sizable mechanism that sits behind the boost gauge, doubt mine would fit any pod moulds.

    if you're going to all that trouble, definately go twin pod, and give them your gauges to ensure there's no problems.

    just got myself a se of defi: boost, oil temp & pressure too.
    been thinking abt where to locate them. centre console mostly likely

    where did u guys cut the host for the boost sensor? pic would be nice

    also try to source a sandwich plate for oil temp and presure sensor
    anyone can provide more detail on their installation?

    i have removed the double din cd player and used the space to fit a oil pressure and turbo boost gauges. they are vdo 52mm. with a custom surround so they look original. got the lighting to match the centre console lighting.
