Hoyhoy.
OK, ta boys.
Hooroo.
Hoyhoy.
OLD, OLD thread, but me need to find the best set up I can get & still stay under the 16's.
So far it looks like these.
Volkswagen Golf IV VR6 12v > Braking > Big Brake OEM > Front 2-Piece > ES#2525 ECS OEM Big Brake Kit W/ECS 2-Piece Rotors-Slotted - MK4TTBBKNP2PRSLT
Volkswagen Jetta IV 1.8T > Braking > Big Brake OEM > ES#3936 OEM 337/20AE Rear Brake Kit - Version I - 33720AERBKSR
Which still clear the 16's with original TT calipers, but what I would like to know is if anyone
knows if MK4 R32 caliper still fits & if it is the the twin piston that I've heard the MK4 is
& that the MK5 isn't, hopefully someone knows.
Me think that the MK4 R32 twin piston would have to be better.
I can't find a template for this one.

P.S. The standard 16's are in use with 15mm spacers.
That dam elusive template.
Hooroo.
Glad you brought this thread back to life Eddy.
I rear ended someone on my way home about a month ago. He had a tow ball which made a whole lot of mess, if it wasn't for that I don't think it would've been as bad. But it got me really thinking about the brakes on the old girl. Definitely want more stopping power.
Been looking at these for a bit: OEM / Performance Parts for Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Mini, Porsche & Volkswagen - ECS Tuning
Curious to see if anyone else thought or bought these and how they fit with the standard 16's.
Current:
2023 Mk2 Tiguan R - Lapiz Blue
2015 Mk7 Golf R Wolfsburg - Limestone Grey: Stage 2
Gone but not forgotten: 2008 Polo GTI Shadow Blue

Anyone keep an eye on the Audi sites for TT /S3 front brake setups? Much cheaper.
My kit was cheap, bit of luck with the rotors, etc. With the front end causing heat problems, I think I need to address whats going on in the rear.
The stock rear on our Polo is apparently 232x9 non vented, what options do we have? Do you think this would work for us / me: ECS Rear rotor upgrade
