    Glitter in the oil

After almost 2 months in the garage I finally got all the parts and put the Buzz Box back together, the finished off with a minor service.

As I'm draining the used oil into a spare can, I noticed some glitter the the oil. I know from my 308 days, that brass in the oil means the big end is chewing something.

Am I overreacting? Is this a BJX thing to let go of some brass go over time? Should I immediately bin the engine?

If there was that much copper in the oil I’d say you’d be hearing your bearing knocking by then. Pull your filter apart and see what’s inside

Fresh oil and filter and then drain it again in another 1,000km's.

In the meantime enjoy this appropriately named song.
