As for Skirts.... do you mean gloss B'pillars? They look good in black.
I have a set sitting in the back of my car, I haven't put them on yet.
Hello all,
new member here, so just a little intro i guess. I'm 23, an accountant and have had my polo GTI since November last year - she's black, with all the trimmings and 17 inch exor rims. She's beautiful (pics to come, i promise).
I've read quite a few threads since stumbling on this site and i must say i'm quite impressed with the knowledge and friendliness and feel i'm in great company here. Also, i notice i'm not the only one who's cup holder has violently turned against them.
Anyway, that's me, but one last thing if you will - to finish my baby off there's a few minor things i'd love to do for her:
1. i need to drop her slightly (just the standard 35-40mm) - what and where would you suggest (in Melbourne)?
2. how much better would she look with nice glossy skirts (i'll answer...she'd be perfect) - have any of you done this? if so, how does it come out - i'm only concerned because they are textured, not flat. Again, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
ta, andy.

i meant the body kit (i guess you could call it that?) - the matte black plastic around the bottom of the car.
Welcome aboard vkswgn. If your free on Saturday, we have a cruise organised for us Melbourneites down the great ocean rode. Just click on that link for all the info.
Congrats on the ourchase and hope to see you there. I also look forward to seeing some pics of the above mentioned beast of yours!
the side skirts would look nice colour coded into black - ive seen some pogo's and also golf 5 gti's with that treatment done - and it looks wicked
but you do need to have work done on the front spoiler and rear valance if you intend it to match properly - ie you would need a decentish front spoiler for example the votex ones or maybe a new front bumper like the caractere one if you really want to colour code the side skirts - the guys doing the job will have to do a bit of work with body filler to make it smooth too - cos if you leave it in the rough textured finish then it looks terrible when you add the mettalic paint over it - but yeah if you willing to have the work be done thn it could look very nice
