Try the tennis grip! Super sticky. You can do 360 turns with one hand easy.... no slip! even in wet! (with your dodgy looking gear knob... that is)

On more serious note, maybe I should start doing leather conditioning on the steering wheel.

Another popular mods overseas is fitting MK V GTi wheels which are really awesome. They look really good. Seen the photo on UK forum.
    06 Polo GTI - REVO Stage 2 = 140kw @ wheels.
06 Golf GTI - Bluefin Stage 1 blacked out with ED30 theme, leather, xenon, etc.

On steering wheels - anyone else find the standard wheel too big? In a few reviews I've read the comment is sometime that the standard wheel is quite large. I don't find it to be so and I like a small wheel.

i think he meant the steeringwheel..

i thought about doing this at the begining of the year, but dealer here wants 1000+ for one, and getting it posted from germany cost around 500+...

Which i think is a big ask for just a steeringwheel mod

I hate airbags (well, until I need one).

I like to be able to buy a nice little Momo for whatever I'm driving and whack that on.

Mind you Momo's these days are **** compared to what they were up to the mid 90's. They used to be hand stitched and thick, quality, real leather - no glue.

Now they are that cheap looking leather and obviously machine stitched and glued.

The flat bottomed golf gti wheel would look sweet. Maybe there'd be some way to get the steering wheel stereo controls working too?

anyway, i wonder if you can just get the 'knob' portion of this setup
