G12++ is for lifetime of the car as long as it is topped up with distilled water.
Edit: Generally it gets changed when the timing belt as done as it's a very good idea to change the water pump at the same time as the timing belt.
Any suggestions on how often (time/distance) G12++ coolant should be changed in a 1.8T Polo (or Golf for that matter)? And no, it's not in the service schedule, at least not in my manual.
One for JMac maybe.

It maybe a lifetime fill, but I would change it in the 4th year and then every 2-3years. If you top up with the distilled water only, then the concentration would be lower and it won't be a lifetime fill at all. In that case you should tell your mechanic to check/adjust the concentration.
