Getting an on car injector clean tomorrow. Need the fuel pump fuse number if anyone knows it? I pulled a few looking for a fuel pump error in VCDS but couldn't generate it so not sure which fuse it is.
thanks

legend. I had found that list but wasn't sure if an '03 was going to match our car. I did pull 41. The car started but then immediately died which had me thinking I'd found it but it didn't raise a code in VCDS. For the injector clean, the car will have its fuel line disconnected from the rail and replaced with the pumped fuel/cleaning solution. I'm hoping that with the fuse out the ECU will still allow the car to run.
thanks
Yeah i pulled mine when i went to change my fpr. I guess that initial start up is the car using up whats in the fuel rail already. And if the ecu lets that happen sans fuse, then surely it'll let the car run while the cleaning stuff goes through. Good luck with it!
Definitely fuse 41. I had my fuel pump seize and blow the fuse. Put a new fuse in and off I went.
The fuse blew during a track event and when scanned gave me a code relating to boost pressure drop. Can't always trust the codes. It was Gavin who diagnosed the fuel pump.

I got the injector clean done. I pulled fuse 41 and despite that the car ran happily off plumbed in injector clean canister. I'm pretty astonished by the results. Since day one my car has had little misfire/hiccups at idle but sometimes these were bad enough to result in big dips in the idle. Third gear pulls have had what felt like misfire type stammers and after I put my water injection on I had what felt like quenching every now and then. The amount of fiddling with coil packs, plugs etc chasing this was pretty much all in vain. After this clean I can honestly say it doesn't do any of this any more. Also If ever I experienced across the board timing pull it was always a tad more on cylinder 4 or cylinder 4 only if it was just creeping in - that has disappeared too. It had always had these symptoms but lately the fuel economy was getting a bit worse which is why I started to suspect injectors. Pretty dam happy for $80. I only had to clear some misfire codes that were present from when the canister ran out of its fuel/cleaner.
