    Fscking centre caps!

Just lost a second wheel cap in a month. How the hell do they come out so easily, it took a decent push to put one back in. Or is some d*ckless piece of sh*t stealing them somehow?

Anyone got a solution such as gluing them in place?

(Off to buy a set of 4 from ebay )

Generally it's the fronts that are the main problem.
It's caused by the heat from the front calipers heating up the wheel, which expands/contracts at a different rate to the plastic cap.
Solution is to Silastic them in.Problem solved.

Lost one at the track per chrissie, cost $13 from VW for a new one, hardly expensive.

Apparently jap centre caps fall out every 15,000 kays and they charge $45+ a pop...

I've lost all four from my various track outings, 4 x $13 = Farking expensive. According Petrina, my car is now ruined

Did you make sure they are the correct ones? When I last spoke to VW Parts they said they're lots of part numbers for them. If so I think I'll get a set of 4. Thanks for the link

They are the closest looking ones I could find on ebay. Says it fits the 9n3, and they look the same. Some of them have a little cutout on one side, and others have a different looking logo.

I'll see if they fit when they arrive

Will do! They might actually be OEM ones anyway, as that seller seems to sell mostly OEM VAG parts.
