have you tried Quattro Motors? Brian 9361 7111
Hey Guys,
Im having problems finding a place/person to fit my Forge TIP.
Ive been to a couple of places and they either say its the wrong part or they cant do it...
Ive checked the part with people on the forum already, and its the right one.
Its starting to get hella frustrating...
Does anyone in WA have one fitted??

Yup.
Been there already and he reckons its the wrong part...
But checked with shaneth on here, and its the same part he has in his Polo, and the same part hes sold to other ppl who have the TIP in their car.
So the part number is right...

Yep, I tried them with my TIP...knocked back.
DO IT YOURSELF !! I am not a mechanic but i did it !!
As i said to Chipped a few weeks, it's not so hard to fit it but it takes time and patience to do it right.
Check my thread and you will find all you need to know to go ahead with it !
Don't hesitate to ask questions if necessary...
Cheers,

Hey T Go. Mate I'd ask the mk4 boys as well, just to see who did there's in WA. Let me know how you go.
Oh boy there's the answer to what I was going to ask quattro motors later this week! Dam it! Now I'm really wishing Peter Arnoldi was still in business. He would have done it for sure.
I wonder why Quattros wont do it? Would it be because they did not supply the part? Hmm this does not bode well for my future plans. I know all you would be mechanics its a piece of cake but for a lot of us with zero mechanical skills it really is a daunting task not matter how 'easy' it apparantly is.
Quattro don't see any benefit in the part, believe it will void warranty (as if a chip won't)and believe this part is not for this car...they cannot be convinced otherwise.
Just for info - to get the factory unit off the turbo, you are supposed to drain the coolant & remove the hard water line that runs past the turbo intake pipe.
If you do not remove this pipe, you run a big risk of damaging it and causing a coolant leak. Those who have done this job will know this pipe & the difficulty in getting around it. I know for a fact that several of my customers have had to order a new pipe after busting theirs!
Its a real PITA, there are two 6mm bolts that hold it to the block and there is pretty much no slack or extra hose to get it out of the way.
Just take care in that area!
