I've installed the forge quick shift linkage. I've also extended the gear stick so that its right up high. The longer stick with the throw on the linkage set to the shortest seems to work really well. I figured while I was in there that I'd do this set up on the cable adjusters to account for any laxity in the cables now that they've done 90,000km: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sheTKD03hmo
I'm cool with locating the pin for transmission home position and the pin for gear stick home position but I noticed that with the forge linkage fitted, that the white tab that is normally in the centre of the cam with a standard linkage isn't anymore - the linkage is rotated around slightly. I assume that this isn't a drama and you just ignore the slightly different linkage position and go on ahead and set up the cable ends as per the vid ie the linkage position should vary depending on whether you set the linkage to short or long throw. So wondering if anyone out there has done the cable end adjust like this and had no dramas?
