Forge Intercooler to Throttle Body Pipe

Hey guys I was just wondering if any of you have bought this pipe :

    Forge Motorsport | Alloy Fabrication

And if so what is the point ? Is it worth the money ?

PS. I have a REVO stage 2 Polo GTI.

I have it. Its alot more rigid than the stock one, so less chance of ballooning under boost... Looks good too.

Cool. Thanks for the Reply. I see alot of guys on the net are saying it's a pointless upgrade, unless you boosting north of 1,7 bar or something stupid like that. And some say it helps with the throttle response.....

I would say don't worry about it- it looks good though...

and have to be careful with the new clip on intercooler side - as factory has plastic end - and you can over tighten and ruin it. Unless you split it, spend money else where...
    06 Polo GTI - REVO Stage 2 = 140kw @ wheels.
06 Golf GTI - Bluefin Stage 1 blacked out with ED30 theme, leather, xenon, etc.

As for the mods, I have a PD160, Forge TIP, K03-0052 Turbo (Instead of the stock K03-0082), 4 Bar Fuel pressure regulator, 76mm Decat Down Pipe with the rest of the exhaust still stock, and REVO stage 2 Software.

It's a good thing for LHD versions - for those who want to remove the noise pipe.

Can you tell us more about the turbo setup?

I'd be looking at a better diverter and looking towards a better intercooler.

    No suspension work?

Hey yeah, sorry I forgot about that, at the Moment I only have a set of Koni Lowering springs (35 - 40 mm). And the SEAT Sport Top strut brace.

As for the turbo setup, I have the turbo off the 132 kw 1.8T 20V Motor, Basically the compressor is slightly bigger than the stock turbo. I had turbo problems and was given the shaft by VW so Decided to go for the slightly uprated turbo.

I am also looking into a SEAT Sport front mount cooler but the can cost a good couple of $$$, so for the time being I want to do the wheel arch mod, to allow more airflow through the stock cooler.

As for the Diverter Valve, I'm not aware of any problems with the stock one, could you possibly give me more info for what I should be looking for ?

Thanks again for all the info.

    No worries.

Stock diverter is only designed for stock boost. It will hold the power of the chip, but will leak or loose ability over time, meaning less peak boost, less power.

Arch mod is good for a little more cooling, Seat cooler is big and expensive by the time you get the plumbing done.

Def worth talking to Gav from CC about a tune to get the most from your unique setup.
