There's other Forge resellers around, and yes, I have the option of selling them if I decide to. But unless they perform well, I wouldn't consider it. Unfortunately, importing FMICs from the UK isn't cheap. Others resellers may decide to, that's totally up to them.

Think my sig makes it clear I have some potential interest, but I'm not asking anyone to buy anything, simply sharing the results, nothing more.

And just my 2c you DO NOT NEED brand names for horse power. Never heard so much crap, yes the brand names are good as they are tried and tested but ive seen great results in the passed with fabricated items and some serious brain work and thought and not just bolt on
    Sorry but my 2c

Fellas, I have cleared up this thread of un needed banter.

Please do not make snide remarks about other people, it is uneeded and unwelcome on this forum. This thread is about the difference a FMIC has made on top of existing mods not about branded items being better than custom fabbed items.

Keep it clean and on topic.

    cheers

    Neil,

Did you install the FMIC y'self? If so what it overly challenging? If not what were the approx. install costs?

    Cheers

I got someone else to fit it. I'm not set up for or good at installing something like a FMIC. It took a trained VW mechanic approx 3hrs to fit and does require some skill, but if you have the skills and tools you could DIY and save on labour costs. I can't comment on how much someone would charge to install one, it would vary.

Did you do a dyno run immediatly before fitting the FMIC? As in on the same day.

The reason I'm asking is because your car with V2 and DP should have been doing 130-132kw before fitting the FMIC and 123kw seems very low. I suspect a dud dyno run and not anything wrong with your car.

I would not be going around claiming a 13kw increase from the FMIC if the pre-results were suspect.

In our testing here in BNE we ran all the combos and the consensus is that the Polo with APR ECU and DP (any 2.5") should be doing around 131kw. FMIC added on top then should be around 136-137kw.

And just the tune is 123kw.
