I go the Forge one and have never looked back. Asides from the chip and suspension upgrades, the FMIC kit is the next best thing to see a real change (especially on warm to hot days).
Something to think about:

Who here would buy a 2nd hand no-name polo gti intercooler kit, whereas who would buy a brand name 2nd hand kit?

This is something that people who modify cars forget about, and it means that sometimes your loss at resale time can largely negate any cost savings you made when purchasing the kit.

Having modded another car to the hilt, I know that most of those mods lose a lot of their value as soon as they get installed. As such, buying proven and known bolt-ons that can be fitted to other people's cars easily when sold 2nd hand (if you sell the car) is often a more sensible path to take.

However, a well made kit at any cost will always be appealing. A name brand isn't the only indicator of quality, the construction and fit of the kit is the most important thing. So buy whatever gets you a proven, well constructed kit that is a genuine bolt-on and if you can get that at a good price then you have won that battle.
