Didnt VWindahouse change his driveshafts ? If so Anthony, any comments ?
MODS- TOO MANY
I'm guessing he's traction limited
I wonder if the taller sidewall and softer tyre pressure is also letting the tyre distort a bit and absorb some of the take off strain (like the wrinkle wall tyres that drag racers use) giving you a better launch.
The semi-slicks wouldn't do this since they have really stiff sidewalls (which with the extra grip would also really load the drive shafts).

13's is great!!!
the soft sidewall is almost certainly helping in the tyre to bite (this has worked a treat with my torana to grip off the line)
if you pumped up the rears rock hard it might even resist some of the weight transfer to keep more of the weight over the front.
some other weight saving techniques are to remove all the insulation you can reach, seats etc and focus on the back half of the car, so more of the remaining weight is centered to the front.
now reckon we can convince you to stick in a NOS kit and pipe in an extra 50 or so HP? a thin plate about 3/4 inch thick on the throttle body would do the trick with two drilled nozzles for the NOS jet.

also on the topic of stiffening the rear for weight transfer i was thinking get some sort of chocks made up to put in the rear springs. Any suggestions where I could go for this?
Not bad, could keep up with my dunnydore :p lol.
Keen to know how much power it has.
Is there a greater time you are chasing?

Spyda, the joys of RWD vs FWD as for times to be honest cracking a 13 was that big for me I dont know now, but I do have rear seats to get rid of and a few other basic weight loss ideas so a 13.7 would be within range I think.
And remember boys and girls if you say thats not possible and I do it you will get quoted lol
