check that you haven't got a split vac hose ... I had one and it the light came on ... new hose, code reset it's and never come back![]()
I initially posted this in the wrong forum.
Hey all,
I have an APR tuned Polo GTI and as of today the exhaust fault light come up on the dash and has stayed there all day although the car is running fien and not missing a beat.
Its never doen this before and yesterday I had a car kit installed, would this be related to someone playing around with the wires?
I had a 60K service about 700kms ago and all was good then...suggestions?
Colin

Yeh i had the same problem before too, my Forge DV was pushing the hose against the engine cover causing it to split eventually. Rotated it a bit and cut the broken hose off, light gone.

Get it scanned. I had an exhaust light from a dodgy O2 sensor.
How do I check for a split/loose vac hose?
To have it scanned do I just take it to someone with vag.com?
