    Exhaust note

Recently fitted a full Milltek,...I specified "as nasty as possible please" on the order form ..so there's no resonator.

This has been posted for those curious to know what a Milltek sounds like on a Polo GTI - not to fuel a debate on exhaust systems

    Sounds awesome!

What size was the exhaust? And if you don't mind me asking, how much?

Sounds beefy, but not over the top. I like it!

These systems were redeveloped by Milltek bc of fitment issues with the first release. Milltek only just released this version, mine's probably one of the first they shipped. They can be purchased as either downpipe, cat-back or full-system, with or without resonator. Prices TBC.

Noise wise, inside cabin is acceptable for no resonator, no drumming, slight drone on de-celeration which may sound sporty to some (I like it). Vid only revs 1st and 2nd out a bit (roundabout was approaching ) ..3rd and 4th at high rpms sounds

Very nice. What would be the cheapest method of buying a Milltek? Can you by direct from a distributor?

Does sound awesome Neil. Would a downpipe/high flow cat give a similar tone? Keep us posted as to the prices. I have been pretty interested in these ever since I heard they came out.
Also with the full system what sort of power gains have you noticed?

You could expect anywhere between 6-10kw atw with the full-system, the gains are very impressive at the mid - high end range. The downpipe is well made and would make a difference in performance on its own. Bc these systems are imported from the UK, it makes more sense to order the full system as the DP would incur almost the same freight costs.

The cost of the full system to each customer would be approx $2,150, the DP on it's own $1,250 (incl GST). Think the full system is the better buy. I realise they're not cheap but if there was enough interest, evolve technik could negotiate a group order and try and land them cheaper. This would depend on the level of interest. A group order of 5-10 would drop the full system to under 2k each (subject to confirmation).

That actually sounds quite reasonable & comparable to the APR setup. You're right with the postage and the full system would be the 'cheaper' option in the long run. Very tempting. It just sounds so awesome. I love it.

With the clip you posted; is that in a stock GTi or a chipped one? I have found since I chipped mine and added all the induction improvements it has made the engine sound considerably louder and throatier than stock. I imagine this miltek system would really make it 'roar'.

It's chipped, you'd probably get more performance noise with a few mods, sure.

Just checked and an individual order for a full Milltek system is $2350 (not $2150), and it's $1,250 for an individual DP.
