That's the guy's user name. lol
All I was saying is that a single dyno run will never be free of challenge. 2 or even better 3 runs on different dynos under more or less the same conditions should return the same figures to be really acceptable.
Dynos are not consisten over time and frequent recalibration is required.
Any upgrades should also be done with a dyno run immediatly before and another immediatly afterwards. Doing a run then coming back a month later with the exact same setup will very likely return different results even if other (atmospheric) conditions are similar. So doing a run then a month later coming back for a mod and another run will not necessaily be reflective of teh upgrades true worth.
Doing a number of similar cars on the same day on the same dyno will give you a reference point and not necessarily a true figure. This is exactly what we had in Brisbane. All the cars where on at the same time and place and the figures provided decent value. Other cars on that same dyno a week earlier returned readings 5km atw more so in a week that dyno "lost" 5kw....
I'm happy with my comparitive results from the day (3kw not 4kw less than Eddy, Shane... and APR exhaust and lightened flywheel seems to be worth 3kw then... ) as it provided real comparitive value even if we believe the figures where on the low side ...
My original comment still stands though. Unless you have 3 different dynos with more or less the same results your results are open to challenge. Unless you have an immediately before and an immediatly after result with a mod your results are open to challenge.
And that applies to everybody not just you GT3 .....

Particularly when the results don't suit you, hey Sharkie..
Maybe you're right, what would Peter Fitzgerald and his team know?? Peter has won every major title there is, over and over, with his team of mechanics and technicians, most with over 20+ years experience in local and international racing. Sharkie, if I'd known your expertise far surpassed theirs, I would have never have wasted my time in the first place.
Ok, I've learnt from my mistake. ..now, in future, I will turn up to a rushed, get em on, get em off conveyor belt, hapazardly run sausage sizzle (dyno day) - then have my car rushed onto a dyno and driven/tested by a pimply-faced teenager with NFI. Based on the result I get, like you, I can then make broad sweeping assumptions and generalisations on the results everyone gets.
Where would we be without your wisdom Sharkie

Please dont do this. As there are so many vaariables, its just not worth the argument. It would be good to see what the buyer of your gear puts out on a different dyno.
However if you wanna drive to brisbane for the polo dyno day GT3 or whoever bought the stuff off you would be good to see.

The only way you are going to get a a consistancy of dyno runs if you got all the cars on the one dyno end of discussion otherwise its the same old story chip this and dyno that!
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...
